Your First Visit

During your initial visit to our clinic you will receive a comprehensive physical exam evaluating the entire body for the source of your pain or other issues. This exam will allow us to design a personalized treatment plan just for you. We realize that while many people may have the same diagnosis no two people have the same body or lifestyle and everyone will react differently to what is ailing them. Taking the time to really get to know you and understand your symptoms will allow us to best determine the type of care for you.

Philosophy

At Simms Family Chiropractic our mission is to employ a natural approach to health for the whole family, and to work with our patients to achieve their goals of getting out of pain and living the healthier lives that they strive for.

We also aim to provide an effective, personalized, and affordable approach to healthcare and pain relief.

Insurances Accepted

At Simms Family Chiropractic we accept a wide array of insurances and will work to ensure that your care is covered by insurance when possible. Because insurance benefits for chiropractic vary greatly, we encourage you to call our office to confirm the benefits of your specific plan.  We will be happy to verify your benefits and inform you of your options for payment before any treatment plan is started.  If you do not see your plan below please contact us for more information about your coverage,  Some of the insurances accepted in our office are:

  • Wellmark PPO plans (i.e. Alliance Select, Wellmark Blue)
  • United Healthcare plans (i.e. Choice Plus)
  • UMR
  • Aetna
  • Coventry
  • CIGNA
  • HealthPartners
  • Midlands Choice
  • Medicare
  • Medicaid (including Amerigroup and United Healthcare plans)
  •  And many others

For our patients whose insurance benefits do not include chiropractic, we work with CHUSA (Chiro Health USA).  CHUSA is a discount medical plan organization that provides legal, network-based discounts for cash, underinsured, or "out-of-network"patients.  This allows us to ensure your care remains affordable and to keep the focus on your health.

Who Can Benefit

Chiropractic care has benefits for everyone from infants to the elderly.  At Simms Family Chiropractic we tailor care plans to each individual patient and have unique techniques and protocols for every stage of life.

  • From the moment we are born our bodies are exposed to the harms of trauma, toxins, and stress which is why it is never too early to begin Chiropractic care.  Gentle, low-impact adjusting techniques can be used to correct spinal misalignments in infants to help with the development of a healthy spine and nervous system.
  • Pregnant mothers also can benefit from the impact of Chiropractic.  Pregnancy is a time of major changes for the body including weight gain, postural changes, pelvic shifting, and structural changes to the spine.  Chiropractic can help ease into these changes and keep your body functioning optimally.  Adjusting techniques are modified to reduce the stress placed on both the mother and baby during treatment and to keep pressure off of the stomach.
  • Children of all ages and stages of development can see positive results from Chiropractic.  Whether it be the trauma of birth, falls or accidents, sports injuries, or just looking to maximize health and healing during training, Chiropractic adjustments help to restore the body to its natural alignment aiding in the development and healing of growing children.
  • As we age our bodies change and we develop patterns and habits that can negatively impact our overall health.  Chiropractic care is an important part of maintaining or restoring a healthy lifestyle and optimizing our bodies ability to take care of itself.  By incorporating Chiropractic into their health plan, patients can decrease the impact of aging and remain active and mobile well into the later stages of life.  Whether it be training for athletic events, keeping up with children or grandchildren, or enjoying retirement, Chiropractic can be a key part of reducing pain and achieving your goals.
